Pedal Imua is an annual community-supported fundraising event that celebrates and supports children in crisis and embraces our connection to the ‘āina, which defines our sense of place, Hawai’i nei.
This famed, scenic bike ride, the legendary “Gran Fondo” West Maui Mountain Loop, stretches 100 km (60 miles) through our beautiful and beloved mountains and coastlines.
The event benefits Dream Imua, a wish granting program for children within Maui County who are facing crisis as a result of abuse and trauma.
PEDAL IMUA RACE DETAILS:
Distance: 100 kilometers / 60 miles (or 50 kilometers / 30 miles for the half ride) with a 4,173 feet elevation gain. Our course starts and ends at sea level.
E-Bikes are welcome for either full or half distance.
Sponsored hydration and rest stops along the way will keep you at your peak performance. Food Zones, bike support, and a tail-end vehicle will be provided for all riders on the course. Riders will also be treated to a pancake brunch following the ride.
Community
Our community members and supporters outside of Hawaii can also join us and ride remotely in their home cities. Children affiliated with Imua’s programs welcome ride-finishers with fresh flower lei, a traditional Hawaiian offering.
Eligibility
Open to all ages. Riders under 18-years of age must have their parent/legal guardian sign their waiver and liabilities form. We reserve the right to refuse participation to entrants for any reason we deem necessary.
