This weekend, January 24–25, Paia Bay will once again come alive with the energy, talent, and pure stoke of Maui’s youth surf and bodyboard community as PYCC Beachfest presented by the Positively Kai Foundation returns for two full days of waves, competition, and family-friendly fun. This beloved event is more than just a contest—it’s a tradition, a celebration of youth, and a powerful example of what’s possible when community comes together.

Beachfest is the only event of its kind held at Paia Bay and has been a rite of passage for generations of Maui board-riders. Over the course of the weekend, young surfers and bodyboarders will have the opportunity to showcase their style, tricks, and barrel-riding aptitude in the very lineup where so many local legends learned to love the ocean. Two days of competitive wave-riding will culminate in a sunset awards ceremony on Sunday—an unforgettable way to close out the weekend.

At the heart of Beachfest is community, and we are incredibly grateful to the sponsors whose generosity makes this event possible.
