Mark your calendars for Friday, September 19, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, as the Paʻia Youth & Cultural Center (PYCC) is rolling out the red carpet (or rather, the pupu platter!) for families, parents, and the maui community. Located right on the beach at Paʻia Bay, this lively hub has been building community through our youth since 1993—and the Open House is your backstage pass to explore every vibrant corner of it.

A Taste of Creativity & Connection

As guests arrive, they’ll be greeted with light pupus prepared in-house by the ever-creative Paʻia Bay Café—a foodie program with heart. It’s the perfect fuel for a stroll through PYCC’s offerings, featuring everything from the Hekili Multimedia Lab to the Stonewave Skate Park and even their own youth-run radiOpio 88.9 FM!

What to Explore (and Fall in Love With)

• Hekili Multimedia Lab: See teens learn and create digital media—broadcasting, editing, storytelling—right before your eyes.
• Stonewave Skate Park: Whether you’re a skater or spectator, this dynamic space—built by youth—is all about rolling, learning, and taking part.
• radiOpio 88.9 FM: Tune in (live or in-person) to experience youth voices shaping the airwaves.
• Project Venture & Outdoor Offers: Get familiar with the culturally grounded outdoor adventures—think paddling, camping, cultural leadership—that build resilience and connection through Project Venture.

This isn’t just a fun house—it’s a safe, supportive environment where kids grow, explore, and thrive, says Managing Director Benjamin Rachunas. PYCC equips young people with confidence, life skills, and a sense of belonging—and invites families to be part of that journey.

And in a strategic move earlier this year, PYCC boosted its community impact by teaming up with Imua Family Services. This partnership brings family support, mental health & wellness counseling, case management, and teen peer groups right into the spaces where youth gather.
