A Heartfelt Mahalo to Our Winter Keiki Festival Sponsors

This fall and winter, Imua Family Services had the joy of bringing Maui’s keiki and their families together for two very special celebrations: Keiki Halloween Festival and Keiki Holiday Festival. While these events were very different in spirit and setting—one a lively community-wide celebration and the other an intimate gathering for Imua families—they shared something essential in common: they were made possible by the incredible generosity of our sponsors and partners.

Our Keiki Halloween Festival, held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, welcomed the entire community for a free evening of fun for the whole ʻohana. The amphitheater came alive as children moved from station to station, enjoying dozens of trick-or-treat stops hosted by generous nonprofit partners, community agencies, and local businesses. Keiki met friendly critters, danced along to music from DJ Boomshot and Marty Dread, and let their imaginations run wild with hands-on activities like Ben’s Big Blue Building Blocks. The night was filled with laughter, costumes, and connections and it simply would not have happened without the support of sponsors who believe deeply in creating joyful, inclusive spaces for families. Just weeks later, the focus shifted from spooky fun to holiday cheer at our Keiki Holiday Festival held at the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center. This celebration was created specifically for Imua Family Services clients and offered families a warm, welcoming space to gather, share a meal, and celebrate the season together. Guests enjoyed a turkey dinner with all the fixings, while the Kiwanis Club of Maui delighted everyone with a hot chocolate station that paired perfectly with an all-you-can-eat dessert bar. Children rotated between playtime with Ben’s Big Blue Blocks, festive arts and crafts led by our Imua Inclusion Preschool and Imua Early Intervention staff. Of course, the evening was made complete with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, who arrived with smiles, photo opportunities, and gifts for all the children. We would also like to extend a very special thank you to our annual toy drive partners, whose behind-the-scenes efforts truly made the holiday magic possible. Duke’s Beach House, Fukumoto Engineering, Hula Grill, KaiAloha Supply, Leilani’s on the Beach, Secondhand Heaven, and Western Digital Corporation stepped up in a big way to collect toys and ensure that every family left with special gifts and huge smiles.
